I’m good at finding the threads and weaving them together

I’ve worn a few hats in my writing life. When marketing was my bag, I wrote for Airbnb, PFLAG, Harry & David, the Brookings Institute, the Denver Foundation, tech and logistics companies, and many others. Across jobs and markets, I got good at listening for the story the client was actually trying to tell. I also show up in the acknowledgments of at least one novel and PhD dissertation, I’ve helped curators in the Italian contemporary art scene finesse English translations of exhibition texts, and I’ve taught writing classes for close to a decade.

As an editor and teacher, I like collaborating with writers of all skill levels to develop, grow, and refine their work, embracing play and experimentation while still making sure things are clear, accurate, and memorable. I’m interested in what you feel like the piece is about, and helping to make that happen.

So whether you’re still figuring out the overall direction of a story or how to wrap up an essay—or if you just need need a proofread for some site copy—chances are I can help you get your work closer to its final form.

Don’t take my word for it:

Tl;dr:

I’m a good person to toss a ball back and forth with—and to make sure you’re saying what you want to say in the most effective and impactful way.

Let’s collab

Tell me a little bit about what you’re working on and the kinds of feedback you’d like, and if I think I’m a good fit for the job, I’ll be in touch about next steps!
